Couples therapy & ketamine

Couples Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

Sometimes you love each other and still feel stuck.

Maybe you keep having the same argument, or you’ve stopped talking about the things that matter because it feels too hard. You miss each other, but trying to get close seems to end in more hurt. I help couples understand what happens in those moments and find ways to hear each other again.

Ketamine can be a powerful tool to help soften the walls between you and reach the hurt and the love that can be hard to express. Together, we create a safe space for vulnerability, honesty, and connection.

What is Couples KAP?

Couples KAP combines relationship therapy with supported ketamine sessions. We begin by talking about what you want to change together, whether that is rebuilding trust, feeling closer, or finding a different way through conflict.

Sometimes the medicine experience opens space for tenderness, a new perspective, or something that has been hard to express. I stay with you throughout, supporting time for your own experience and moments of connection with each other.

I’ve seen couples who have been stuck in the same painful conversations for years begin to hear each other differently. Sometimes they’re able to say what they’ve struggled to express and understand the hurt behind each other’s reactions.

How it works

Your Couples KAP treatment path

1

Consultation

We meet to talk about your relationship, what you want to change, and whether Couples KAP is a good fit. We review the treatment plan, scheduling, and fees.

Couples KAP consultation: $160 · 50 minutes.

2

Medical evaluation for each partner

Each person who will take ketamine meets with the prescribing provider for medical screening and a prescription, if appropriate. I will help you coordinate each partner’s medical evaluation with Center for New Growth.

Medical evaluation: $250–$375 per person · 50 minutes (paid to prescriber).
Medication (ketamine lozenges): typically $80–$150 (paid to pharmacy).

3

Prep: Build a Foundation Together

We meet in both individual and couples sessions. We set intentions and focus on what you want to change in your relationship. We explore the patterns that leave you feeling stuck, practice sharing needs and listening to each other, and discuss what will help each of you feel supported during the medicine sessions.

Preparation: $230 per session · 50 minutes.
Minimum recommended: 3–6 sessions.

4

An individual KAP session for each partner

Before shared ketamine sessions, each of you has an individual KAP session, with a preparation appointment beforehand. This gives each person space to understand their own experience.

Individual KAP: $950 each · 180 minutes.

5

We Implement Couples KAP

We begin by returning to the intentions you set during prep, holding in mind what you hope to understand or change together. You each take your prescribed ketamine lozenge in a comfortable, supported setting. As the medicine takes effect, you may enter a dreamlike state where thoughts, feelings, and familiar experiences seem different.

Couples KAP: $1,200 each · 180 minutes.
Minimum recommended: 3–6 sessions.
Preparation and integration are billed separately at $230 per 50-minute session.

6

Integration and ongoing support

Integration is a chance to talk about what came up during the medicine sessions and what it means for your relationship. We connect those experiences to how you communicate, handle conflict, and care for each other in daily life. We schedule integration sessions as needed.

Integration as needed: $230 · 50 minutes.
After the initial series, session length and fees may be adjusted to your needs. We agree on any changes before scheduling.

Healing is not linear. We make room for what comes up and adjust the plan together. Fees listed are per session.

Is this right for us?

You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. You might want to feel closer, understand why you keep getting stuck, or work through something that has been hard to talk about. We can start there.

We will talk honestly about fit.

This work is not right for every couple. I want to know that both of you can speak openly, make your own choices, and feel safe together. Medical eligibility matters too. If another kind of support would be a better place to start, I will talk with you about that.

Let’s talk.

If you are interested in Couples KAP, reach out. I am happy to answer questions and talk about what working together could look like.
